Yesterday I saw a lovely bird swooping soft and low close to where I was walking.

Here’s a photograph of sparrows enjoying the day.
A minute or two before I took this photo they were flitting about feeding at my feeders.

Hope you like these photos. It took me ages to get them. The bird didn’t stay still for a minute. It flitted from branch to branch and tree to tree. It’s song and it’s colour made it easy for me to follow it as it flew near me.

As some birds roost near our garden I sometimes think what it must be like sleep so close to the elements and in total darkness. I took the photo because, to me, the darkness didn’t look inviting and because to the birds that same darkness must be inviting. It must mean safety in numbers and shelter from the weather.
