We finally managed to harvest the field of barley.
We had to leave one small corner because the rain started again.
It’s still raining and the ground is very wet and muddy. Usually at this time of year it’s dry and easy to walk on.

Every week for the past three weeks I have been taking photographs of corn ripening.

When I’m on my walk I often see a variety of birds flitting in front of me along the hedge.
I also see crows, rooks, pigeons, owls flying high overhead in the blue open sky of the Yorkshire Wolds.
The fields are lush with grassand corn.
