I put this window feeder up for two reasons -
1. To see if I could bring birds right up to my window and get really close up photos of birds.
2. To see how people without gardens can feed birds.

A pure white blackbird has been seen in a garden in Lincolnshire. It would certainly stand out from all the other birds.

Birdsong is a Miracle.
It’s strange that some of the birds with the most powerful song are birds which are ‘drab’ looking
The stumpy little Wren, has an explosive, incredibly powerful song.
The Song thrush whose wild ecstatic song can be heard in many gardens.

A golden eagle escaping from crows attacking her lost her sight after flying into an electricity pylon in her efforts to escape the attacking crows.
After flying into the electricity pylon she developed cataracts which is why she lost her sight.
The Golden Eagle was taken to the Wings Over Mull Sanctuary because she had been badly burnt by the electricity pylon. [...]

The comings and goings of the swifts and swallows near our house has always fascinated me and it seems it has fascinated other bird watchers over the years.
About the 12th Century in Germany a Prior in a Monastery fixed a parchment to a swallow’s leg asking -

When the swallows leave here in Autumn I sometimes wonder how they are managing far away from Yorkshire.
