Twice this morning I’ve seen a sparrow carrying what looks like nesting material in its beak. What a strange time of year to be carrying nesting material. Does anyone know what’s its doing?

The RSPB are having a Feed the Birds Day. There is a guided walk and feed the birds information at Bempton on Saturday 20th October and I’m looking forward to taking part in it. I hope to learn more about feeding birds and it will be good to meet other bird feeders!

It’s next weekend at Bempton Cliffs on 20th October at 11am. I’m looking forward to the walk and picking up tips on bird feeding.
