Then one day she realised she had left it too late.
The Rook spoke to her.
It spoke with such clarity it amazed her. It had been listening whenever she spoke and had copied her speach. I won’t tell you what it said.

That sounds an amazing book. Did you know Starlings can mimic other animals to the extent that they can sound exactly like the animal?
I don’t know if they would be able to speak but you never know. Birds are very clever.
