Early this morning when I went out side, the invisible wind had blown a ground feeder across the garden and blown a birdtable over.
It is the kind of morning where the wind blows my glasses off – they didn’t blow off but the wind was so wild it nearly happened
It is the kind of morning where the bird food will blow off the bird table as soon as I put it on – so I put on some millet soaked in fat (the fat binds the millet and makes it heavy)
It is the kind of morning where I’m glad I have two hanging bird feeders that hang in the shelter of some branches where the wind does not get to.
It is the kind of morning where I’m amazed that the birds can chirp so cheerily when the wind is so wild and the weather cold.
It is the kind of morning where I am amazed at the power and sound of the wind. I had to walk against it and the wind really did howl in the trees.
All the outside jobs are done for the moment, time for a cuppa
