Last year I made a short video of early morning bird feeding when everything was covered in snow. It was last November and it was snowing fast and furious.
The snow came early this winter. I always put out more bird food when it’s snowing, but this time the snow was covering the bird food.
It’s at times like this when sparrows, blackbirds, chaffinches and lots more birds empty the bird feeders in quick time! It was freezing outside.
There aren’t any birds in this short video just me, snow and bird feeders
How do the birds feed from the covered feeder?
Sara from farmingfriends
Hi Sara, Good to hear from you. The smaller birds can flit in and out through the wire mesh. It means that smaller birds can feed safely and it also means that large birds cannot eat all the bird food.
I will put some photos on birdtablenews later in the week showing the covered feeder better. Hope you are well. Trisha
