Bird Feeding arrangements
Sep 5th, 2008 by Birdy Trish
I’m going to visit my daughter so am getting other people to feed the birds for me
What a going on! I’m writing notes left, right and centre. I think it’s more complicated than feeding a herd of cows.
It’s only for Saturday and Sunday so they won’t starve - the birds I mean not the family!
I’ve one more bird feeding instruction note to write and then I’m off to catch my train and I’ll also make sure the bird feeders are topped up.

Hi Trish
Today, 5th, I have been watching Great Tits and Blue Tits on my nuts!
The Great Tits have been visiting regularly but the Blue tits have been away for a while, feeding on the fields being harvested, no doubt.
Today, “Ronnie” took a leap and a bound and said goodbye. Probably fed up with my “cooking”, Who knows? He had been showing signs of being more “flighty” and after a good breakfast he was off. All his mates were in the next field, so I am sure he was back with the old troop. I will miss the messy blighter but it is for the best. I don’t advocate keeping wild birds, if it is possible not to, and they are going to be safe (as safe as they can be, any way).
It is good he has gone now and will have time to get back to what Rooks do, before winter sets in.
Nice to keep in touch.
Andy.
HiAndy, glad and sorry at the same time that your Rook has gone. It’s for the best. Good on you for saving its life. Trisha
