Bird Table News Question

Hi,
I’m pondering about adding something to my Bird Table News diary / blog. I’m thinking of adding either an
- email newsletter
or a
- forum
With a forum we could meet and exchange chats and info. I love the comments box I have. Comments are good and I enjoy hearing from you. I enjoy the stories that are sent, advice your ask for and advice you give me. BUT, comments get lost in the passage of time and people who make the comments don’t ‘meet’ any other birdy people.
Email newsletter: I could sent out special bits of info that I may forget to put on my Bird Table News online diary /blog. I could root out special offers and pop in bits of bird news I never get round to putting on here.
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

Hi Trish
I think the Forum idea is great BUT, as you say, most people are flitting about and even though they would love to sit and have a chat to like minded people this would probably be limited to a few.
The “email” newsletter would serve to inform and give additional access to your thoughts and questions and could be answered as time allowed.
Maybe the combination of the two, in time, would be a good move.
Enjoying the site and find it interesting. I hope my bird table and feeder gives some of your contributors the nerve to have a go at some simple woodwork.

I think a forum is worth a try. It gathers peoples ideas together and it is easy to comment on something that may be missed on the blog pages as any comments are scattered on different pages.

Thank you for those comments and notes. I think if I had all the techncal knowledge I’d like to do both. Am still thinking and pondering. But seem to be going towards a forum as it is more communal. Trisha
