Have been messing about inside on my computer instead of sorting out the birdtables (but it has been bad weather this morning)
I was given a digital recorder and have recorded birdsong before.
Hoping this works. Birds in my garden a month or two ago.
Ooops. I can’t here any sound so here’s another try -loud-and-clear-birdsong-10-april
With this second birdsong - when you have clicked on the link you then press the play button and the birdsong is there (I hope)

It’s working fine. Better than the Birdsong channel on digital radio - no collared doves in the background.

Peculiar - still working fine but the first time Firefox (my web browser) played the file automatically but after you altered it I had to tell Firefox which program to use to play the birdsong.

Hi John, Did you try the top link to the birdsong and also the second link further down? Did the both work?
The first link doesn’t work for me but the second link to the birdsong does. Thanks for saying the sound is good - I’m getting there. This small digital recorder is good. I can record and play it back. I’ve had some birdsong on before, but have forgotten how I did it! Good to know you can hear it and the sound is good. Trisha
Both links work for me. I notice that the top one is a .mp3 and the lower one is a .wma which may be why you are having problems as it depends whether your browser knows what to do with both types of file. For me the top link plays automatically with the Quicktime player and for the lower link I have to choose a player to hear it.

Hi John, thanks very much for that. It’s really helpful. The first one does not work for me. The second one does. I couldn’t understand it. So maybe my browser does not know when it sees an mp3! Computers! But at least other people can hear it. Will go over the instructions sometime. The digital recorder is easy to record things. Just press play and then stop. It’s afterwards that I have to learn more about. thanks once again. Trisha
