Garden Birds in my garden
Jul 24th, 2008 by Birdy Trish
I know birds roost in a big hedge in our garden. First thing in a morning I can see them flitting in and out of the hedge. It’s hard to take a photo of them, but I’ve managed to get two photos of sparrows in the hedge-
The birds merge into the hedge and are so hard to see. I can often hear them singing nearby but cannot see them. I can also often hear the leaves rustling as they move about inside the hedge. Can you easily see the bird in each photo?
You’ll see from these photos how they blend into the hedge and must use it as shelter and as protection from sparrowhawk attack.
I’d just put some bird food, cheese, apple and grated carrot on the birdtable near the hedge, but this bird took it onto the grass and leisurely ate the food.
I think this bird is a thrush, but not sure. What is certain is that is is able to feed in the garden.
It must be a combination of the hedges and the bird food I put out that brings so many birds to my garden
The bird food I put out on the bird table is 4 Season Table and Ground Bird Mix
