Sparrow trying to eat an apple - video

Every day I put out some cut and peeled apple for the birds in my garden. I put some on the bird table, some on the meshed ground feeder and a few slices I throw under a bush. These bits of apple always get eaten.
The apple attracts a lot of birds and I’ve just seen a blackbird scurry away with a piece of apple in it’s mouth. This peeled and sliced apple is very popular in my Garden Bird Cafe.
Here is a very short video showing why it’s important to peel and slice apples for the birds.
I think this sparrow would agree it’s a good idea to do that.
