What type of bird is this?
Apr 17th, 2008 by Birdy Trish
I feed birds and I like birds, but I’ve never said that I know everything about birds, because I don’t.
Am hoping someone can tell me what these birds are.
I saw them when I was walking the dog. Luckily I had my camera with me.
The other day I saw two ducks. They had their heads peeping over the green growing corn. I didn’t have my camera with me then.
Here are a few photographs I managed to get of these birds. I don’t think I’ve seen them around here before.
This is the first time I spotted the bird. It was pretty hard to see, but it is there in the photo. If the photo is small just click on it and it will enlarge on the screen. If you still can’t see the bird in the photo below then just scroll down to the next photograph - it’s a lot clearer.
The two birds walked (not flew) backwards and forwards across the lane. They certainly weren’t looking where they were going!
Here is a photo of the two birds together
Why were they walking on this country lane.
Why weren’t they flying about
Why didn’t they fly away as I walked towards them
Why didn’t they bother when the dog walked near them.
What type of bird are they
What type of bird food should I put out to attract them to my bird table
Would any of this bird food be any good for these birds
Or would or should I put sunflower hearts out
After tea when I have time I will have a look in my bird books.
It’s great that I can ask like this.
Just hope someone replies.
