Seagulls and pigeons trying to eat the same food.

Seagulls and pigeons. I don’t have anything against seagulls. I only get annoyed with pigeons when they take over the bird table.
It’s strange how birds can live anywhere. Here is a car park in a seaside town in North Yorkshire
There were loads of seagulls and pigeons after the same bird food but this little fellow was always on his own. He never got near any food all the time I was there.
Some kindly person hangs some fatballs from a tree in the town car park. I’ve seen sparrows eating them before. One of the fatballs inside a net had fallen to the ground. It was a tug of war between the seagulls as to which one would get the bird food.
The seagulls got the best of the fatball and left. Then the pigeons took over
All the time this was happening in the car park this one pigeon was left out on its own.
Then this pigeon got fed up and walked away alone into a corner of the car park
There was such a lot of noise and movement when the seagulls and pigeons were trying to get the food. They ignored cars and people going by and they were ignored by everyone who passed.
It’s surprising what bird life there is in towns and especially near car parks.
Here’s some more birds I’ve come across in car parks and towns
This bird was at home on a piece of land adjoining a busy town car park
Ducks at home in an East Yorkshire town
Here’s one bird a friend told me about that made itself at home in a car port in Jersey
I know birds breed and survive in towns. It’s just strange to see ducks, pigeons and seagulls not bothering with cars or people.
