Bad Weather for Birds
Feb 26th, 2008 by Birdy Trish
A week ago today the weather was freezing day and night. Here are three of the photographs I took a week ago today.
Looks a bit boring?
Well I know for a fact that birds roost inside this laurel hedge and it keeps the worst of the weather off them. It’s one of the few hedges we have that keeps it’s leaves throughout the winter.
A few days after this photos was taken the hedge was cut back.
Of course cows don’t have to worry about having to find food and warmth in bad weather - they are looked after and kept warm by us!
The photo below shows how contented they are.
The only way you can tell it’s cold outside is by the cows breath in the frosty air.
But believe me it was freezing outside. But these cows did not have to search for food, water and warmth.
That evening it never stopped freezing.
