Starlings are back
Jan 12th, 2008 by Birdy Trish
The starlings have returned to my garden. They have taken over the bird tables and the ground feeders. Where these starlings come from I just don’t know but I wish these birds would stay away.
Starlings are like thugs. They take over the garden feeders. They don’t have any nerves and push blue tits, chaffinches and wrens out of the garden.
In the bird world Starlings are the exact opposite to thrushes.
Thrushes seem to be shy, nervous, kind and thoughtful. They meander round the food, take a nervous peck and rush away. So now the starlings are back thrushes won’t get a look in.

Where only yesterday the ground feeder was a safe haven for thrushes and blackbirds today it’s covered in starlings.
